Erik Morales wins congressional seat

In last night’s historic national election results in Mexico, four-division world champion and boxing hall of famer Erik “El Terrible” Morales was overwhelmingly elected to be Diputado of District 07 in Tijuana, Baja California. The Cámara de Diputados is Mexico’s equivalent to the U.S. House of Representatives. “El Terrible” belongs to the “Juntos Haremos Historia” coalition that also won the presidency of the Mexican Republic and in the vast majority of the main offices of the country.

Morales, who garnered more than 65% of the votes, said “I feel grateful to all of Baja California citizens in these historic elections. Today we are celebrating because we will all fight for Mexico!”
