Former unified world champion Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada (33-2, 24 KOs) announced at a press conference that he will return to the ring on October 8 in at the Francisco León García Baseball Stadium in Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico. Estrada said he is fully recovered from the injury to his right hand that sidelined him for over a year and he’s ready to face Filipino Raymond Tabugon (18-5-1, 8 KOs) in a ten round clash at super flyweight.
Estrada acknowledged that he has renounced both the WBA and WBO flyweight titles and in 2017 will be looking to land fights with super flyweight world champions Román “Chocolatito” González, Naoya Inoue and Nica Concepcion.
