
Etsuko TKOs Ayaka, wins vacant WBO World female minimum title

Southpaw Etsuko Tada of Kobe scored a technical knockout in the 9th round over Ayaka Miyao of Tokyo to win the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) World female minimumweight title last Dec. 3 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
“The victory has been clear! Thank you for your support!”, said Etsuko Tada in Facebook.
The 39-year old Etsuko won her seventh knockout and the 20th win against three-loss and three draws while Ayaka, 37 suffered her 9th setback against 23 wins and two draws.
The first encounter between Etsuko and Ayaka ended up in a split draw last Jan. 28 at Korakuen Hall.
Meanwhile, minimumweight Masataka Tabiguchi stopped Hizuki Saso in the 10th round via a technical knockout while flyweight Sho Nagasato beat Soma Ikeda by a unanimous decision.
It was promoted by Yukio Sebata of Dangan Aoki Promotions.
