Former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt is the recent addition to the UFC 235 card in Las Vegas, as he meets Pedro Munhoz at the T-Mobile Arena on March 2, sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by ESPN.
Garbrandt (11-2) hasn’t fought since August, when he suffered his second stoppage defeat in a row to 135-pound king T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 227.
“No Love”, knocked out twice by his former teammate, had a perfect 11-0 record with wins over the likes of Dominick Cruz, Takeya Mizugaki and Thomas Almeida before losing his belt in 2017.
Munhoz (17-3) is coming off one of the biggest wins of his career in November, knocking out veteran Bryan Caraway in the first round at TUF 28 Finale.
The former RFA bantamweight champion has won six of his last seven under the UFC banner, finishing four of those opponents.
