Former world champion Tomas “Gusano” Rojas (48-14-1, 32 KOs) won by sixth round disqualification against Jose “General” Sanmartin (20-4-1, 12 KOs) in a featherweight bout on Saturday night in Veracruz, Mexico. Sanmartin was tossed for an intentional headbutt. Time was 2:58.
In the co-feature, WBC #2, WBA #5 flyweight and WBO #3 super flyweight Juan “Churritos” Hernandez (33-2, 24 KOs) was victorious when Dixon Flores (13-5-2, 4 KOs) didn’t come out for round four. Hernandez has now won 15 straight since his unsuccessful title challenge against Kazuto Ioka five years ago.
