REIGNING International Boxing Federation (IBF) Inter-Continental super flyweight champion Jonas “Zorro” Sultan will defend his title against former WBC world flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro on May 7 at the Angono Sports Complex in Barangay Mahabang, Angono, Rizal.
It is promoted by Anson Tiu Co of Shape Up Boxing Promotion with Art Monis as the matchmaker.
Sultan (12-3-0), a native of Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte won the IBF Inter-Continental title by dethroning Makazole Tete (15-1-2) via a 2nd round technical knockout at the Mdantsane Indoor Centre in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa last December 16.

Jaro has won all his nine last fights with six of them all by knockouts or TKOs. His recent knockout victims were Shota Kawaguchi, Dunryl Marcos, Albert Alcoy, Ical Tobida, Jovel Romasasa and Marzon Cabilla.
Jaro is also a former IBF Pan Pacific light flyweight, Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) light flyweight, Philippine light flyweight and IBF Pan Pacific light flyweight champion.
