Explosive Night Mexico vs Puerto Rico

In Gómez Palacio, it will be hosted a new chapter of the Mexico vs. Puerto Rico boxing rivalry when the former  champion Cristian ‘Diamante’ Mijares and former world champion Wilfredo ‘Papito’ Vázquez  clash.

Mijares, with the affection of his people said to be happy and motivated for this fight; “I have many mixed feelings after 24 years in boxing, it’s a fight against a a great fighter. I thank him for this fight because my people at Gómez Palacio deserve a great show, the most important thing is to both of us leave  tghe ring with good health.”

“Thank you for coming to my land to give a great show to my people, you are a gentleman and a historic Puerto Rican boxer, I have to say goodbye with a boxing victory and I thank my people for all the affection, after this I will enjoy of my family at last and that makes me very happy, “he concluded.

Vazquez said : “I am very happy to be in a land with many boxing experts. I had 16 weeks of camp in the United States because it is a very brave fight, I come  200 percent ready  and I know that from  this fight it can come a world title chance. ”

“To make a mark in boxing I have to face fighters  of Mijares, so I accepted the challenge,” he said.
