Former World Boxing Council middleweight champion Julio César Chávez Jr returns to the ring on January 26, against Alfredo “Perro” Angulo in the United States.
It was planned for December, but put forward, due to a saturation of fight dates. Angulo is the one who announced this fight on social networks.
During an interview, Angulo said he`s delighted to face Chávez Jr: “I was very happy that they considered me, because Julio is the son of the great legend Julio César Chávez. We are also both Mexicans, born there, where we grew up.”
Chávez Jr (50-3-1, 32 KOs) needs a brilliant return to realign his career, while “Perro” Angulo (24-6, 20 KOs) must return to winning ways, as he`s been defeated in 4 of his 6 last fights.
