FARIAS TO CHALLENGE BRAEKHUS IN NORWAY

Argentina’s Erica Farías, who`s the super lightweight champion of the World Boxing Council will step up to challenge Norway’s Cecilia Braekhus, undisputed WBC welterweight queen, on June 9 in the Norwegian city of Bergen.

The 32-year-old Argentine boxer, has an impressive record of 25-1-0 (10 ko´s). During her last fight disputed on November 19 of last year she retained her WBC belt for the third time, by defeating Tillera Marisa Núñez.

The unbeaten Braekhus, 35, born in the city of Cartagena, Colombia but brought up in Norway, has fought in and array of nations including : Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Finland, Belgium and the United States. She has a perfect and pristine record of 30 victories including eight knockouts.

In her last fight at The Spectrum in Oslo, Norway, she clearly defeated the Swedish Princess, Klara Svensson.
