Fayfer vs Papin in WBC Eliminator in RUSSIA

Russian contender Ruslan Fayfer will face his compatriot Alexey Papin in a WBC cruiserweight elimination match today Saturday, August 22, at the Pyramid Arena in Kazan, Russia.

The fight is promoted by Ratel Pro Fight and will be televised on Match TV.

Both fighters made weight: Fayfer 197.8 pounds and Papin 199.7 pounds.

Ruslan Fayfer (25-1, 16 KO’s) is a solid fighter coming off from scoring a major win over previously undefeated compatriot Yuri Kashinskiy (now 18-1) last November.

Fayfer’s only loss came at the hands of undefeated American Andrew Tabiti last year.

Meanwhile, hard-hitting Alexey Papin (11-1, 10 KO’s) rose to fame with a streak of knockouts, which led him to face the reigning WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu

It was a great fight. But unfortunately, Papin lost by points.
