Showtime Sports just released a video feature on WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez, recounting his Fight Night experience for last weekend’s rematch with Ronald Gavril.
In the video we see how Benavidez spends his time on the day of his big fight, getting into the right frame of mind, visualizing how he wants the fight to play out, and just enjoying some fresh air around the Las Vegas strip.
“Basically right now I’m just trying to go through the transition, what I’ma do in the fight, being really relaxed, focused, just thinking about the game plan over and over in my head. You know, we’re gonna go in there and dominate.”
Shortly thereafter we get some highlights of the fight itself, with Benavidez winning a unanimous decision, showing off his damaged hands, and some post-fight thoughts.
“I felt good, man. Great experience. Everything I trained for showed off in the ring. The future’s bright, you haven’t seen the last of me. Keep a lookout.”
