FIGHTING FOR PEACE IN ROME

The World Boxing Council is proud to announce the “Fight for Peace,”  in which Emiliano Marsili (35-0-1, 14 KO’S) of Italy and Víctor Betancourt (22-1-0, 10 KO’S) of Mexico, will compete  on January 27, 2018 at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Rome, Italy.

This event is part of the Pope Francis Sports Boxing Program  Scholas Foundation Occurrentes “BOXVAL – BOXING WITH VALUES”

Powerful and destructive earthquakes dramatically affected the countries of Italy and Mexico during 2016 and 2017. Fight for Peace will strengthen and solidify links between these great nations, in order to remember and honor the victims of those terrible events.

The WBC joins the reconstruction efforts, not only regarding the material damage, but also the profound spiritual effect on both peoples.
