Filipinos Carcosia, Rafol for IBO Belts March 7 in Melbourne, Australia

Next Saturday March 7th at the MSAC Stadium Albert Park, Melbourne, Australia, two tough Filipino boxers will be fighting on a Kings of Kombat & Peter Maniatis events card.

In the main clash, undefeated Sanman boxer Presco Carcosla (8-0) will battle undefeated Jai Alexander for the vacant IBO Asia Pacific Featherweight title.

“ l saw Carcosla’s fight at Robinson Mall in General Santos City last October on the Randy Petalcorin undercard. Carcosia fought Angelito Merlin and he looked very impressive. Sanman boxers are A side boxers. They always come to fight,” said Peter Maniatis.

Jai Alexander is also undefeated and is a good boxer who is improving all the time. Its a great test for both warriors, added Maniatis.

Both, Alexander and Carcosia, by all reports, have had great training camps and ready to perform.

The second Pinoy fighter seeing action in the event, Rodynie Rafol — with a record of 14 wins 7 losses — will be fighting undefeated Kayne Clark (9-0) for the IBO Asia Pacific Lightweight strap.

Rafol from the beautiful Filipino province of Mindoro Occidental does not show his true ability on his record. His losses where to Greek-Australian warriors Michael Katsidis and George Kambosos on points. Now, Rafol trains with coach Todd Makelin.

Recently, Rafol had an impressive KO win against Tyson Lantry and the Filipino is now ready for his IBO title fight with Kayne Clark.

His opponent, Kayne Clark, is the Australasian Featherweight champion, looking forward to fighting for the IBO strap. The supervisor for the IBO is Justin Kennedy.

The card is a terrific show put together by Kings of Kombat Peter Maniatis Events and Ultratune Mr Sean Buckley in association with Hisham Hanna.

“My Goal has always been to help Filipino boxers the best I can. I am interested in finding for them suitable fights and purses on our events in Australia.

“The winners of the two IBO Asia Pacific fights can go on to qualify to fight for IBO World titles,” assure Peter Maniatis, an Australian Hall-of-Fame promoter.
