Yoel Finol will return to the ring on Saturday for his fourth professional fight against Mexican Luis Gerardo Castillo. The main fight of the “Fire in the Caribbean” event, to be held in Puerto Colombia, will have the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedebol Super Flyweight title at stake and will be a great test for the Venezuelan Olympic medalist.

Finol debuted in 2019 and since his first fight, he has shown class and great boxing skills. His challenges have been growing in terms of difficulty and now he will have a fight against an experienced opponent who intends to surprise everyone.

The southpaw guard fighter is 24 years old. His last fight was in December in the same stage, when he defeated Colombian Javier Martinez in a great exhibition of dominance and technique in the ring.

Now he will face Castillo, a fighter with 30 fights under his belt. The native of Jiqulipilc arrives with the mission of destroying Finol’s party and assured to have made great preparation to achieve his goal.

The event will have a total of 12 bouts and besides the main fight, there will be two more regional titles at stake. The first will be the defense of the Cuban Lenier Peró of his WBA-Fedelatin Heavyweight title against the Colombian Dumar Carrascal; on the other hand, the Argentine Francisco Torres will clash with Colombian Alexi Rivera for the WBA-Fedecaribe Super Welterweight belt.

Another interesting fight will be that of Argentinean Kevin Muñoz, who will have his first high-level fight against former Colombian world challenger Rober Barrera in a highly anticipated fight. Other talents such as Colombian Veronica Zuluaga, Paulina Angel, John Lenon Gutierrez, and Argentine Lucas Fernandez will also be in action on Saturday.

The event will be part of the WBA-Challenge program, an initiative of the WBA to provide activity to Latin American fighters and serve as a platform for their promotion to big world fights.
