Flores arrives early to fight Peñalosa


Mexican brawler Maximino “Max” Flores arrived early in Manila last Sunday to face Carl Caesar Peñalosa of San Carlos City on Aug. 25 at the TV5 Studio in Novaliches, Quezon City.

The 28-year Flores (24W-4L-1D, 17KO) will fight Peñalosa (14W-1L, 7KO) for the International Boxing Organization World flyweight title live on ESPN5 Philippines.

Flores will be making his second trip to the country. He made his first trip to Bacolod to face Milan “El Metodico” Melindo and lost by a technical decision in the 7th round in 2016.

In his recent bout, Flores TKO’d compatriot Jorge Miguel Hernandez in the 1st round last Nov. 10, 2018 in Tijuana, Mexico.Flores promised to have a good fight with Penalosa.The fight is promoted by Gerry Peñalosa of Gerrypens Promotions Inc. (Lito delos Reyes)

The card’s line-up include the exciting grand finales of the popular UBS Ultimate Boxing Series, the successful boxing reality show that has been breaking ratings on ESPN5 Philippines.
