Today would’ve been UFC Fight Night: Lamas vs. Penn in The Philippines, but BJ Penn suffered an injury and withdrew from the card, and the event was scrapped just days later. One of the key matchups on the card was a flyweight matchup between Ali Bagautinovand Kyoji Horiguchi, and it’s not taken long for it to be rescheduled for another card. SportsJoe.ie reports that Horiguchi/Bagautinov is now set for UFC Fight Night 99 on Saturday, November 19th.
Horiguchi (17-2) has won both of his fights since his April 2015 title fight loss to Demetrious Johnson. The Japanese power-puncher has gotten decision nods over Chico Camus and Neil Seery, and holds a 5-1 overall record inside the Octagon.
Bagautinov (14-4) snapped a two-fight losing streak, vs. Mighty Mouse and Joseph Benavidez, by besting Geane Herrera by unanimous decision. The 31-year-old tested positive for EPO following his June 2014 loss to Johnson, which resulted in a one-year suspension.
UFC Fight Night in Belfast is headlined by welterweights Gunnar Nelson and Dong Hyun Kim. The entire card streams live on UFC Fight Pass, in what is the promotion’s first trip to Northern Ireland since UFC 72 in 2007.
