The UFC has signed one of the best flyweights in the world to debut at the company’s first trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina in November.
Ariane Lipski, who won the KSW flyweight belt in 2017 and defended it a couple of times, has inked a deal with the UFC to meet Maryna Moroz at UFC Argentina on Nov. 17, sources told MMA Fighting. Combate first reported the news.
Moroz (8-3) has been competing in the UFC since 2015, when she beat Joanne Calderwood in just 90 seconds. The Ukrainian fighter holds a 3-3 record inside the eight-sided cage, and looks to snap a two-fight losing skid after decisions to Angela Hill and Carla Esparza.
Lipski (11-3) enters the UFC Octagon for the first time riding a nine-fight winning streak that includes five knockouts and two submissions, being five of those wins under the KSW banner in Europe.
UFC Argentina takes place at the Parque Roca arena in Buenos Aires and features Neil Magny vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio in the main event.
