Seeking brilliant new talents via amateur boxing, the bell sounded clear and clarion for the fourth edition of boxing tournament José Sulaimán, at the Central Ring facilities in the City of Mexico.
The host, Mauricio Bocanegra, was accompanied by World Boxing Council (WBC) President, Mauricio Sulaiman.
The green and gold belts will be presented for the winners of each category, and pink and gold belts , for the young girls.
“It all starts with amateur boxing, in these first fights. The teaching of coaches who dedicate their time to children and young people,” said Mauricio Sulaimán Saldivar, thrilled to see the fantastic response of young boxers.
He added that gymnasiums such as, ring central, “Gives us the opportunity to find the right path, where families can grow and have healthy competition.” He thanked them all, on behalf of all his family as this competition, creating bright new stars wiil always have the image, spirit and Legacy of the WBC honorary President, The Great José Sulaimán.
Mauricio Bocanegra explained: ” Boxing is born and done in the amateur sphere. That’s what it’s all about, so we need to encourage young people by promoting sports.”
The contribution of Hector Hernández and Dr. Antonio Fernandez from the WBC amateur committee was acknowledged, and Mauricio Sulaiman highlighted the support of the Mexico City Health Secretariat, which provided full and complete medical facilities plus back up services.
