Mexican challenger, Moisés Fuentes (25-4-1, 14 Ko’s), who’s number 9 in the World Boxing Council’s rankings, has arrived in Japan, where on February 4th will fight WBC undefeated flyweight champion, Daigo Higa (14-0, 14Ko’s). who’s defending his crown for the second time.
Fuentes says he is in excellent physical condition, thanks to his rise to the flyweight division, since making the 108 pounds was too draining.
Being now in his natural weight and maturity he has acquired, the Mexican is absolutely convinced he can overcome the awesome punching power of Higa.
In his last fight in October, Fuentes scored a knockout victory in the first round over Ulysses “Ratoncito” Lara.
