By WBCboxing.com

Formidable  Japanese thunderbolt Daigo Higa (14-0-0, 14 KOs) will defend his WBC flyweight crown on February 4 at Budokan Arena in Naha City, Okinawa, against former champion Moises Fuentes (25-4-1, 4KOs).

Higa was crowned king of the WBC flyweight division, knocking out Mexican Juan “Churritos” Hernandez in the sixth round in Tokyo last May, landing his thirteenth KO in as many victories. In so doing he made history in Japanese boxing, since no Japanese fighter had been crowned with an undefeated record and with all their wins by KO.

Undaunted, Fuentes says he has just the right strategy to outbox Higa and remove his powerful grip on the green and gold belt.
