Tyson Fury had zero problems dealing with Francesco Pianeta today in Belfast, winning a shutout decision on a referee’s score card, 100-90. BLH had the same score in a fight that was easy to tally if not exactly thrilling to watch.

Fury (27-0, 19 KO) said he was happy with the performance, which saw him get some needed rounds in and prove he’s still got a gas tank to go more than just a few rounds.

“I think it was a cultivated boxing performance, as promised,” Fury said of his win. “We got rounds in and I was very happy with the performance. It’s no secret I need the rounds.”

Fury, who came out to “Sweet Home Alabama” and paraded around the ring with Deontay Wilder’s WBC belt (with Wilder’s approval), was joined in the ring by Wilder after the fight.

“We’re ready now. It’s on! It’s on, this fight is official, it’s on, baby!” Wilder said. “This is what we’ve been waiting for right here, baby, the best fighting the best.”

Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter, said the fight details will be revealed next week, adding that “the fight is on.”
