GAB SETS DIALOGUE WITH BOXERS ON NOV. 21

THE Games and Amusements Board (GAB) has a set a dialogue with the country’s professional boxers and trainers on Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. at its main office in Makati City to discuss its current policies and programs.
“We will discuss on the recent policies and programs of GAB and on how we can assists boxers for transparency and participation,” said GAB Chairman Abraham Kahlil “Baham” Mitra.
Among the agenda are: Free Medical and CT Scan; Proposed Amendments on Rules on Fights Abroad; monthly ratings and other important matters.
The GAB Medical Division will discuss the free medical and CT Scan while the Legal Division will talk on the amendments.
The Boxing Division, on the other hand, will explain on the guidelines on the ratings.
“We will also have a Question and Answer portion,” said Mitra, who is also the president of the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF).
OPBF recently held its 55th Annual Convention at the Princesa Garden Island Resort in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan last Nov. 9-12.
Aside from Mitra, also expected to attend the dialogue on Nov. 21 are GAB Commissioners Eduard Trinidad and Mar Masanguid, Boxing Division Chief Dioscoro Bautista and Chief Legal Officer Ermar Benitez.
