Jesus “Zurdo” Galicia, from Puebla, Mexico, scored an important victory by split decision (78-74, 74-78 and 79-73), over former Mexican world champion Rodrigo Guerrero, at the Miguel Hidalgo Gym at Puebla, Mexico.
“Zurdo” Galicia weathered a variety of stormy impacts from “Gato” Guerrero, who extended the local fighter to the limit. Loyal and very vocal support from his fans worked wonders.
An accidental clash of heads opened a jagged cut on “Gato’s” right eyebrow, while “Zurrdo” immediately bled from the head.
Both fighters showed strong physical condition. Galicia is now 17-10-1, 6 KOs. While Guerrero is 26-7-2, 16 KOs, also significantly winning the FECOMBOX bantamweight crown recognized by the World Boxing Council.
