Gassiev-Dorticos, Ramirez-Ahmed, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for February 2-3

The World Boxing Super Series continues and several world titles are on the line this week.

Friday, February 2

SHO, 10:00 pm ET, Ronald Ellis vs Junior Younan. A four-fight ShoBox card from the boxing hotbed of Sloan, Iowa! Your standard ShoBox card, prospects in action, hopefully taking decent tests. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, February 3

ITV4 (UK), 1:45 pm ET, Murat Gassiev vs Yunier Dorticos. The second cruiserweight semifinal for the World Boxing Super Series takes place in Russia, with IBF titleholder Gassiev facing WBA titleholder Dorticos. The winner will unify the belts, and then go on to face WBO/WBC champion Oleksandr Usyk in the final in the spring, creating a true cruiserweight champion (if only for a few hours). This is a great fight that isn’t going the distance on paper. BLH will have live coverage.

Sky Sports Action (UK), 2:00 pm ET, Lawrence Okolie vs Isaac Chamberlain. This domestic cruiserweight clash has been built up pretty nicely, with WBA rankings positioning and a minor trinket at stake. Both are unbeaten prospects, Okolie a former Olympian. The winner will be on the radar for sure.

TyC Sports (ARG), 10:00 pm ET, Omar Narvaez vs TBA. Narvaez was supposed to fight on February 10 in the United Kingdom, but Zolani Tete got hurt. So he’s not wasting the camp and will stay busy against…someone, apparently.

ESPN, 10:15 pm ET, Gilberto Ramirez vs Habib Ahmed, Jerwin Ancajas vs Israel Gonzalez. Two world title fights from Corpus Christi, Texas, with Ramirez defending his 168-pound title, and Ancajas his 115-pound title. The Top Rank ESPN deal has been a decent one so far, and even if neither of these fights wind up competitive, it’s nice to see Ancajas get major exposure in the U.S. BLH will have live coverage.

Azteca (MEX), 11:30 pm ET, Guadalupe Martinez Guzman vs Irma Garcia. For the WBC women’s super flyweight title.
