Esmeralda’s pro debut was on April 20th, 2005. She now has a record of 25 wins with 9 KO´s and six defeats. Staring in 2013 she announced a temporary recess as she became mother of Larissa Valentina on June 2013.
Both warriors, starred in a give and take brawl on February 19th , 2011, with Joya Moreno getting the victory and the WBC silver light flyweight world championship. After defending that crown 5 times, she conquered the world title defeating Japanese Naomi Togashi at the Miguel Hidalgo gym in Puebla.
Having become a mom, Esmeralda returned to boxing, and on April 30 she traveled to Austria, to defeat Eva Voraberger, with a handy majority decision victory.
Now, “joya” is totally focused on this hard upcoming fight against “kika”. If she wins she will get top the top of the female boxing elite, one more.
