Gerald Harris will return to the Bellator cage. And this time, he’ll have proper time to get ready.
Harris will fight Yaroslav Amosov in a welterweight bout at Bellator 202 in Thackerville, Okla. on July 13. MMA Fighting confirmed an initial report by MMA Junkie.
Harris (25-6) came out of retirement on a just a few days’ notice at Bellator 198, where he suffered a first-round submission loss to Rafael Lovato in a 188-pound catchweight bout.
At Bellator 202, the well-traveled Harris returns to his regular weight class. Prior to the Lovato fight, Harris had retired in late 2017 on a four-fight win streak.
Amosov, a 24-year-old Ukranian, brings a 19-0 record into his Bellator debut with nine submissions and eight knockouts to his credit.
The July 13 card will be headlined by a Bellator women’s featherweight title fight between Julia Budd and undefeated challenger Talita Nogueira. The full card can be found here.
