Undefeated Ginjiro Shigeoka of Tokyo will defend his World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific minimumweight title against Toshiki Kawamitsu of Miyakojima on July 14 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
It will be the 2nd title defense of Ginjiro, who took the vacant title from Clyde Azarcon of Davao City from a 1st round knockout last July 27, 2019, at the Korakuen Hall.
The 21-year-old Ginjiro (5W-0L-0D, 4KOs) retained his crown by knocking out former International Boxing Organization World Light Flyweight champion Rey “Hitman” Loreto of Davao City in the 5th round last Dec. 31, 2019, at Ota-City General Gym.
Toshiki, on the other hand, is also undefeated with six wins and three knockouts.
The 25-year-old Toshiki recently scored a TKO over Kosuke Ando in the 1st round last Jan. 29, 2021, at Korakuen.
He earlier TKO’d Kenshi Noda in the 4th round last Oct. 4, 2020, at Korakuen.
Hitoshi Watanabe of Watanabe Promotions is promoting the fight.
