Get the full card here for Glory 38 Chicago as Saulo Cavalari and Artem Vakhitov headline a good show in Chicago on February 24.
This past weekend saw Glory present their first show of 2017 with Glory 37 Los Angeles. Now, the company is looking ahead to their next event and a return to the Windy City.
Glory 38 Chicago will take place on Friday, February 24 at the Sears Center just outside of Chicago, which has previously played host to Glory twice before, including their historic first show on Spike TV. Previously announced was a main event Light Heavyweight title fight that will see champion Artem Vakhitov take on Saulo Cavalari in the rubber match of their series. Now, the rest of the card is set.
On the main card will also be a Light Heavyweight tournament, with the winner poised to be next in line against the main event winner. Entered in the tournament so far are Zack Mwekassa, Danyo Ilunga, and Ariel Machado with one more name yet to be announced.
On the Superfight Series, the previously announced Chi Lewis-Parry is out. His original opponent is the debuting Catalin Morosanu, who will now face Maurice Greene. The Superfight headliner is a very good Heavyweight clash between Benjamin Adegbuyi and Anderson Silva, but for my money, the best Superfight action may be found in Murthel Groenhart vs. Thongchai in an excellent fight.
