A pair of top-10 light heavyweights will face off when the UFC returns to Sao Paulo, Brazil.

During Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 114 broadcast in Mexico City, the promotion announced that one-time world title challenger Glover Teixeira will face fellow contender Misha Cirkunov at an event scheduled to be UFC Fight Night 119 at the Ginasio do Ibirapuera on Oct. 28.

Both fighters are coming off losses. Teixeira suffered a fifth-round knockout at the hands ofAlexander Gustafsson this past May, while Cirkunov was on the wrong end of a 28-second KO when he fought Volkan Oezdemir at the same event.

Prior to that stunning finish, Cirkunov had won his first four Octagon appearances by knockout or submission and it looked like he was a few fights away from title contention before he was stopped by Oezdemir.

Teixeira has alternated wins and losses in his past four fights, picking up victories over Rashad Evans and Jared Cannonier to offset defeats against Gustafsson and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. His UFC record sits at 9-4.

UFC Fight Night 119 will be the UFC’s sixth trip to Sao Paulo. The promotion most recently visited the Brazilian city with a card that was headlined by a rematch between Ryan Bader and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
