Former welterweight champion Shawn Porter (27-2-1, 17 KOs) fights Adrian Granados (18-5-2, 12 KOs) with the World Boxing Council silver welterweight belt on the line on November 4 at the Barclays Center of Brooklyn, New York.
Granados has made a great training camp, as he very motivated, promising victory.
“It was a surprise when I received the offer for this fight and I will take full advantage of it by defeating Shawn Porter. He had a close fight with Keith Thurman and a win over Adrien Broner. A victory against him will put me on top of the division,” cheerfully commented Granados, adding:
“Shawn had a great career as an amateur with 165 bouts, he was a football player, so he is fast and strong. I have seen his fights and I have studied him very carefully, especially in these last weeks.”
“It is good for me to know that we will fight at 147 pounds. For our previous camp organized to face Broner we did it on the 140 pound division, which is why preparation for this fight has gone much better than at other times.”
“If I win the WBC Silver belt, I’ll be one very important step closer to face Keith Thurman, and that’s the extra motivation for me. Fans will see a great boxing match.”
