World Boxing Council Super Flyweight champion, Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada, will make the first defense of his green and gold title, on August 24, against American Dewayne “Mr. Stop Running “Beamon, at the CUM of Hermosillo, Sonora.
Juan Francisco will try to create a new attendance record at the CUM of Hermosillo, which registered 10 thousand attendees on March 8, 1991, when the ever popular Jorge ‘Maromero’ Páez and Jorge ‘Cocas’ Ramírez clashed.
Estrada comes from defeating Thai superstar Srisaket Sor Rungvisai with a great Performance that earned him a place in the top ten best pound for pound in the world. With a record of 39-3 and 26 knockouts, Estrada has placed himself as a Mexican boxing idol despite some injuries from which he’s now fully recovered.
For Beamon, whose most recent triumph was in October of last year over the Mexican Martin Tecuapetla, this will be his first title chance.
