A truly great and memorable fight from RING TELMEX-TELCEL sponsored and nurtured star Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada who earned the ticket to the World Boxing Council super-flyweight challenge to the crown held by Thai Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, after defeating Carlos “Príncipe” Cuadras, at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
After several years of being RING TELMEX-TELCEL sponsored fighters both Estrada and Cuadras accepted the final eliminator, to fight for the right to contest the world crown.
The battle was intense, magnificent and enthralling from start to finish, but factors seemed to indicate that Estrada had gained a slight advantage. That edge included Cuadras being knocked down in a torrid tenth round.
The scorecards: indicated 114-113 in favor of Estrada.
