GREAT UNI TOURNAMENT

Rector Juan Eulogio Guerra Liera, of UNAM in Sinaloa has welcomed more than 200 fighters from different states of the Mexican Republic who will participate in the Qualifying Tournament for the 2017 National Universiade.

The Doc  is thrilled about the response, and as WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán commented  during his visit:  the return of boxing to the National Universiade is an established fact.

The prime example is former WBC world champion, Pedro Guevara, who, after completing his law degree, started his masters University. Dr. Eulogio urged all participants to fight for their dreams as long as they do not neglect their studies.

All fights were took place inisde the divisions endorsed by the International Federation of University Sports and 7 participants will qualify  in each of those divisions, since the hosting  University has the right to have one participant in each one Of the weights.
