Former WBC world female light flyweight champion Ibeth “Roca” Zamora, says that defeat against Esmeralda Moreno after four years of being the champ abruptly woke up a new her!
Now she’s hungry to conquer the WBC flyweight division. Ibeth who had planned to announce her retirement if she won the Diamond title, made new plans in her career when she was given this new opportunity. As Yessica “Kika” Chavez is now a champion in recess, specifically to enjoy motherhood. So Roca is prepared to face the opponent designated by the WBC.
At this point, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman commented that American Melissa Macmorrow has already raised her hand to request the opportunity to face Zamora.
If negotiations are successful the vacant crown will be contested in March at a venue to be defined.
