Handsome victory for “Bonita”

Diana ‘Bonita’ Fernandez retained the WBC Latin belt, defeating the  Colombian contender Olga ‘Cobra’ Julio after ten striking, strident rounds..

A competitive fight which was mostly controlled by ‘Bonita’ who scored often with long and powerful right hands, and she was purposely  more agressive.

The Judges’ cards were:  97-94, 97-93 and 100-90, all for Fernandez, who achieved her  victory number eighteen as a professional boxer.
