At the prestigious  Mayweather Boxing Club, undefeated World Boxing Council lightweight youth champion Devin Haney, who’s on eagle eyed lookout for a new opponent  (18-0) held an open media training.

Haney was scheduled to face Filipino Harmonito Dela Torre  on February 2, but Dela Torre decided not to go through with it. The undercard that would be part of ShoBox is headed by super middleweight Ronald Ellis and Junior Younan.

The search for an opponent is now on, but Devin says it is difficult to find someone willing to face him.

Devin, who turned 19 in November, is trained and directed by his father, William Haney, with the support of Floyd Mayweather. He has been a very active fighter with nine fights in 2016 and seven in 2017. He also holds the prestigious World Boxing Council youth title.

Devin, who has an impressive record of 130-8 as amateur, currently lives and trains in Las Vegas, where he was sparring partner of Floyd Mayweather Jr. in his preparation to face Conor McGregor.

It is expected that the rival of this great young prospect, will be named in the coming days.
