Britain’s Terri Harper will return to the ring for the first time in 12 months, determined to retain her World Boxing Council super featherweight belt against American Alycia Baumgardner.
In her last fight, the 24-year-old stopped Norway’s Katharina Thanderz in nine rounds to retain her title.
The Denaby-born champion was set for a unification bout with undefeated WBA world champion South Korean Hyun-Mi Choi in May, before sustaining a hand injury that has kept her out of the ring for several months.
Harper commented: “I am very excited to be back on November 13th and to continue the journey. It has been a difficult year with the injury, but we have been working constantly in the gym and I feel one hundred percent ready.
“ I couldn’t think of a better comeback than at Sheffield Arena in front of a crowd of superb sports fans.”
