Heather Hardy’s next fight will be in the cage, not the ring.
“The Heat” will face Kristina Williams at Bellator 185 on Oct. 20 in a flyweight bout at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Bellator officials confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Saturday, following an initial report by The New York Post.
Undefeated in 21 professional boxing bouts, the 35-year-old Hardy made her MMA debut at Bellator NYC this past June when she defeated Alice Yauger by third-round TKO at Madison Square Garden. She has expressed a desire to continue to compete in both MMA and boxing.
Williams will be making her professional debut at Bellator 185. She is 3-0 as an amateur.
Also scheduled for Oct. 20 is the first Bellator appearance of Gegard Mousasi as he takes onAlexander Shlemenko in the middleweight main event, and a light heavyweight clash betweenMuhammed “King Mo” Lawal and Liam McGeary.
