Holm’s punching prowess proved too much for Irene Aldana as the Preacher’s Daughter got a huge win in a unanimous decision in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Fight Island October 3 in the US.
Holm improves her record at 14 wins with only 5 losses while handling Aldana her 6th loss with 12 wins. Holm’s combos gave Aldana nowhere to run around the cage albeit the latter tried to trade in the fists.
Holm’s camp has seen her hone her skills to perfection in lieu of this fight while banking on her boxing and kickboxing skills as well. Holm is known worldwide to be the only female fighter to hold a belt both in MMA and boxing, with her the only female defending her boxing title 18 times in three different weight categories.
In the co-main card, Carlos Felipe gets the unanimous win against Yorgan de Castro in a massive exchange of fists. The Brazilian improves his record to an 8-win, while de Castro suffered his second loss.
Germaine de Randamie inched out American Juliana Pena in a third-round submission earning her 10th win as she gave Pena her 4th loose.
Kyler Philips climbed to an 8-1 record as he scored a knock out win against English Cameron Else in the 2nd round as Serbian Dusko Todorovic maneuvered the same knock out in the second round to claim the huge win versus veteran Dequan Townsend. Todorovic is still undefeated at 10 wins whilst the American earned his 12th loss.
Former Interim UFC Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit showcased his strength in a three-round duel against Court McGee as all three judges giving him an edge for a unanimous win.
The featherweight bout between Joshua Calibao and Charles Jourdain ended up in a draw as French Nassourdine Imavov outclassed Jordan Williams to get a unanimous decision in the middleweight division.
The first Thai fighter in the UFC Loma Lookboonmee inched out American Jinh Yu Frey in their 3-round female strawweight bout improving her record to 5 win-2 defeat as Frey suffered her 6th loss.
Casey Kenney gets his 15th win whilst denying Heili Alateng his 15th and handing him his 8th loss in their bantamweight clash via a three-round unanimous decision.
Luigi Bendramini of Brazil showed his power early on when he knocked out German Jesin Ayari into the second minute of the very first round.
