Marco Huck and undefeated Mairis Briedis clash for the World Boxing Council Interim Cruiserweight title on April 1 in Germany.
This is because current cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew is moving up to heavyweight to take on ormer champion David Haye on March 4 in London.
Marco Huck has a record of 44 professional fights, with 40 victories, including 27 KO`s . On November 19 he won by unanimous decision against Ukrainian Dmytro Kutscher.
“I’ve been a professional boxer for 12 years and I’ve waited a long time for the opportunity to fight for the WBC’s green and gold title,” Huck said.
“I am very excited that this is happening and that I can fight for this prestigious title, of which my beloved idol Muhammad Ali has been world champion. This is great for me. Mairis Briedis remains undefeated and has a reputation for being a great fighter. The only thing I have in my own mind is to win. Briedis is undefeated in 21 fights and knocked out 18 of his rivals.
