M and Mike Wilson will step into the ring this Tuesday to fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas heavyweight title at the mythical Madison Square Garden, New York.
Both American fighters are facing a great opportunity in the event to be organized by Lou Dibella in the capital of the world and know that a victory can put them in a good position.
Hunter, 33, has been looking for a title shot for the past four years. Since losing to Oleksandr Usyk in 2017 for a world belt, he moved up to heavyweight and has been on a hot streak ever since. Along the way, he has won seven fights in eight performances, while he had a draw with the veteran of a thousand battles Alexander Povetkin.
For his part, Wilson is 38 years old and is a battle-hardened fighter who has faced good opponents and whose only loss was to Denis Lebedev in 2018.
Both fighters have already passed the weigh-in and will step into the ring tomorrow in New York to contest the belt. Hunter has a record of 19 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw, and 13 knockouts, while Wilson has a record of 21 wins, 1 loss and 10 knockouts.
