Sunday in Houston, the sun shown brightly on Rocky’s Boxing Club & Gym.  That was a far different scene from days earlier when Hurricane Harvey hit the fourth largest city in the United States. Rocky Juarez, a favorite son and former Featherweight world champ, got a few friends together with the idea that they could raise some money to help the people who were hit so hard by the storm. He personally had suffered little effect, but that gave him the opportunity to step up.

Sports manager J Johns joined in. So did the WBC!  So did George Foreman, George Foreman, Jr.; Pablo “El ZanKudO Letal” Cruz; “Cracking” Craig Callaghan; Conditioning Expert Evins Tobler; Promoter & Boxing Advisor Tuan Tran; Memphis 10 from 93.7 The Beat; DJ Wiz from Blessed Beatz; Undefeated Gabriel “Slick” Smith, and NABF Regis Prograis.

Regis couldn’t attend the event, but he and his family had a great deal of damage to their homes and he did his part to lend help to Rocky in advance. In no time at all, there were thousands of dollars raised.  Thank you Rocky and Friends!  You are still winning the big fights!
