Tom Breese has another new opponent for UFC London.
The UFC announced Thursday that Ian Heinisch has signed on as a replacement for an injuredCezar Ferreira to fight Breese in a middleweight bout at The O2 Arena on March 16. Ferreira himself was a replacement for an injured Alessio Di Chirico.
Heinisch (12-1) is a fitting replacement given that he made his UFC debut this past November with a unanimous decision win over Ferreira in Buenos Aires, Argentina. That was the fourth straight win for the former Legacy Fighting Alliance standout who earned a UFC contract on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.
This will be Breese’s second UFC fight at 185 pounds. The former welterweight defeated Dan Kellyby first-round TKO in his most recent outing last May to improve to 11-1 as a pro.
UFC London will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal and the main card will air on the ESPN+ streaming service.
