IBF #1 Uzcategui destroys Pena

IBF #1 super middleweight contender José “Bolivita” Uzcategui (26-1, 22 KOs) scored a second round knockout over Fabiano Pena (18-6-1, 14 KOs) on Saturday night at the L.A. Cetto Vineyard in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. In round two Uzcategui dropped Pena with a crushing right hand. Pena recovered but Uzcategui put him on the deck again after a vicious barrage prompting the referee to stop the fight. The time was 1:16.

Unbeaten IBF #13 welterweight Carlos “Chema” Ocampo (20-0, 12 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over the much shorter Alvaro “Tyson” Robles (19-6, 17 KOs). Ocampo was in command for most the fight. In round ten Ocampo hurt Robles but when he went in for the kill he got rocked himself. The scores were 98-92, 100-90, 100-90.

Jr middleweight Luis Fernando “Muñeco” Uribe (29-1, 21 KOs) scored a six round unanimous decision over Saúl Mendoza (14-9, 7 KOs). In round 6 a point was taken from Mendoza for throwing low. The scores were 59-55, 59-55, 59-55.
