A fight between Ivan Baranchyk and Anthony Yigit would square away a new mandatory challenger for the IBF junior welterweight title, but with the two sides unable to come to an agreement, the sanctioning body has ordered a purse bid, according to ESPN.com.

The purse bid is scheduled for January 16, and as always, a deal can still be made without the bid process up until that date.

Baranchyk (17-0, 10 KO) turned pro in 2014 and fought consistently until last year, when he took to the ring just twice, beating Abel Ramos in February and Keenan Smith in July, both decision victories, making it four straight fights that have gone the distance for “The Beast” from Belarus.

Yigit (21-0-1, 7 KO) is the current European champion, a Swedish fighter who went 3-0 in 2017 with victories over Lenny Daws, Sandor Martin, and Joe Hughes. Two of those wins came in the United Kingdom (Daws and Hughes), and upped Yigiti’s profile a bit.

The IBF title is currently held by Sergey Lipinets, who will be a pretty sizable underdog when he defends against Mikey Garcia on February 10.
