IBF #11 112 pounder Eaktawan Krungthepthonburi (20-3) clearly outscored Jayar Diama (7-8-5) over twelve rounds in an nationally televised promotion. Eaktawan captured the vacant IBF Asia Flyweight title fight on Friday at Samroiyod Beach, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand. Eaktawan was the aggressor from opening bell and had the tough Filipino, Diama on the backmove continually.

Scores were, 117-111, 119-109 and 119-109.

In other action, former world rated 140 pounder, Patomsuk Pathompothong (32-5-1) stopped John Adam in round three of a scheduled six round bout.
Also, 126 pounder, Nontachai Sakkreerin (4-0-1) and Pansak Phalasakgym (0-1-1) boxed a six round draw.
Classy 130-pounder Apinan Sakkreerin (2-0) stopped Matthis Bernot (0-9) in round four of a scheduled six.

Jimmy Chaichotchuang, the IBF’s leading promoter in Thailand said “Eaktawan showed good skills against the tough Filipino today. Both boxers have performed well against top class boxers overseas. Eaktawan scored a good win in Japan by defeating Takushi Okumoto (16-7-2). Diama lost his last fight by a point to Ma Yi Ming (13-6-0) in China “Diama showed his toughness today against a world class flyweight. I would like to thank trainer of Eaktawan, Rian Munton who was born in England. He has developed Eaktawan. I predict that Eaktawan will be ready to fight IBF Flyweight champion, John Riel Casimero in 2017.”

The promotion was televised by Thairath TV 32 HD throughout Thailand.
