DAVAO CITY — Junjesie “Tornado” Ibgos of Zamboanga del Sur will challenge
Tewa Kiram of Thailand of his World Boxing Association Asia super
welterweight title last Sept. 7 at the Suamlum Night Bazaar in
Ratchadaphisek, Bangkok.The 25-year old Ibgos (13W-4L-0D, 11KO) TKO’d
Butuan’s Roldan Malinao in the 3rd round in Iligan City last 2018.Ibgos,
however lost to China’s Cheng Su for the vacant World Boxing Organization
Oriental super welterweight title last May 10 in ShangRao Sport Center,
Shangrao.The 27-year old Kiram (41W-1L-0D, 30KO) TKO’d Ramadhani
Shauri in the 12th round last May 9.He, however, lost by a knockout to
Lucas Martin Matthysse of Argentina in the 8th round via a vacant WBA
world welterweight title in 2018.The promoter is Niwat Laosuwannawat of
