Imanari And Rahman Step Up To Join ONE: PURSUIT OF GREATNESS Card

The ONE: PURSUIT OF GREATNESS card has been bolstered by the addition of an exciting mixed martial arts clash.

Singapore’s Radeem Rahman will face Masakazu “Ashikan Judan” Imanari at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar on Friday, 26 October.

The late addition to ONE Championship’s next blockbuster event will see Rahman compete for the second time since he returned to action after nearly four years on the sidelines in May.

The Phuket Top Team representative made up for lost time at ONE: GRIT AND GLORY when he defeated Tang De Pan via rear-naked choke after just 1:19 had elapsed in the first round. That victory improved the 31-year-old’s professional slate to 3-1.

He will face a Japanese legend in “The Golden Land” next week in Imanari, who is notorious for his leg locks.

The 42-year-old Tokyo native has earned 25 of his 36 career victories via submission, including a first-round tap out of ONE Interim Bantamweight World Champion Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon in 2012.

“Ashikan Judan” will make his third appearance in the world’s largest martial arts organization since he returned in January, and his fifth overall, to compete at a catch weight of 67 kilograms.
