Cuban Yuriorkis Gamboa and Mexican Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz, reached an agreement to fight on April 16 in Arlington, Texas, in what will be the co-main event of the card presented by Premier Boxing Champions, where Errol Spence Jr. or Yordenis Ugás will unify the welterweight titles.
Sources close to the Cruz and Gamboa camps had commented that this fight was in talks, but it was only recently confirmed.
It`s a case of youth Vs experience. For Gamboa it is a great opportunity after losses against Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney.
“Pitbull” (22-2-1, 15 KOs), is coming off a thrilling fight, in which he pressed Davis hard, losing a close decision last December, after accepting the fight at short notice. .
