Ray Borg vs. Brandon Moreno will no longer be taking place at UFC Austin.
The important flyweight bout has been moved from UFC Austin – which takes place on Feb. 18 – to UFC 223 in Brooklyn on April 7. The switch in events came after Moreno suffered an injury that didn’t allow him to compete on Feb. 18 date.
The news was announced on Wednesday evening by UFC Español.
Moreno will be attempting to bounce back from his loss to Sergio Pettis last August in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Mexico City. The Tijuana-native is ranked seventh in the division and holds a record of 3-1 in the promotion.
Meanwhile, Borg will also be looking get back in the win column. He is coming off a submission loss to the champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC 216. Borg is 5-3 in the promotion and he’s currently third in the UFC’s official 125-pound rankings.
UFC 223 will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between interim champion Tony Fergusonand top contender Khabib Nurmagomedov.
